Dr. Williams and his team took such great care of me. First my tooth did not want to cooperate with the anesthetic even though I was numb pretty good. Our professional whitening is far more effective than products you can buy from drugstores. Professional products are formulated with a higher percentage of bleaching power, so they will work on tougher stains. In addition, it’s easier for you to completely cover your teeth because we will provide you with custom-made whitening trays.
Teeth whitening isn’t permanent. You can expect its effects to last for at least a few months and up to a year if you take steps to control staining. This includes not using tobacco, practicing good oral hygiene, and avoiding staining substances such as coffee and red wine. It’s a good idea to rinse your mouth with water after consuming staining foods or drinks.
Teeth whitening won’t damage gums. Your gums may feel sensitive if exposed to bleaching gel, though the sensitivity will go away fairly quickly. We will make custom whitening trays for you using impressions of your teeth. Since the trays will help keep the gel off of your gums, they will reduce the chances of sensitivity.
