On the home page of our website, we list three featured services. One of them is relieving dental anxiety.
Even by the most conservative estimates, tens of millions of people across the United States experience fear of the dentist to one degree or another. We know this. We understand this, and we want to help our patients manage and overcome those concerns.
Why? Because we want you to be as healthy as possible. We can help by making you comfortable coming to Premier Dental and Implants in Tigard, OR for oral care. Call 503-210-9802 to learn more about our approach, and keep reading to learn what you can do to help yourself.
1. Start With Sedation
Sedation dentistry has been around for centuries. It’s certainly more sophisticated now. We are happy to offer three levels of sedation:
Laughing gas
Oral sedation
IV sedation
We have an option to help you. Sedation can be used with any procedure and all levels of dental anxiety.
2. Make Comfort a Priority
Sedation can allow you to get in the door to get the care that you need. That’s only the start of how we help our patients, however.
You can use our comfort amenities to feel more at home. Ask about a blanket or pillows to feel cozier during your cleaning. Watching television or listening to music or a podcast can provide a welcome distraction as well.
3. Get to Know Our Team
The most important thing is finding dental professionals who you trust with your teeth. We take pride in helping our patients feel at ease throughout their appointments.
Let us work with you to end your fear of the dentist. It may not happen in one visit, but it will get easier. Take it one step at a time. We’ll walk with you.

My first time, my wife recommended it to me very highly, now I see why. Very friendly, courteous, and professional team all around. Dr. Williams, is caring, and genuine. Listens to you and explains to you in as much detail as you want. The office is very clean, high-tech, and the environment is very comfortable, and relaxing
Dr Williams and his staff are friendly and caring. I originally went to his office for a 2nd opinion. I felt like he listened and gave me (& I hear him doing the same for others) the necessary information/options. He doesn’t try to sell you on procedures you don’t need. Another dentist had told me that I needed a crown. Dr Williams said he thought an onlay seemed like a better option. I went with the less invasive option. It was the right choice for me. I have since switched my whole family over to Dr Williams.
Family friendly environment, warm feelings, great conversations with the staff, and an enjoyable experience every time. I look forward to the care every six months, or sooner. Ask for Rachele, my hygienist, as she always performs a complete, thorough, detail-oriented hygiene appointment! I would never go anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Dr. Williams, the front staff, and Chelsea the DA, are awesome. Nice facility, I like how well they communicate with patients and keep you comfortable. It’s like a well oiled machine. Highly recommend this place! A+ quality!
I go to Dr Williams for routine care, and decided to have some cosmetic work done. I’m in my sixties and was experiencing extreme wear on my front teeth. I started with Invisalign to get a good ‘canvas’ to work with, and then asked for a natural look – not falsely white or looking like dentures. Dr Williams did veneers and am thrilled with the result . It shows he really listened to me, because they are exactly what I requested. I would highly recommend!
Great service for the last 23 years. Always expedient and reasonably priced when working outside of insurance. Skilled dentist with a skilled team, keep of the great work!
I just had my teeth cleaned along with a checkup. As always, the staff was friendly, there was no waiting for the appointment, cleaning was thorough and—good for me—no further work needed to be done.
